Vice President, Information Technology

Huntingdon Valley Bank is seeking an individual that will be responsible for the overall operations of the Information Technology Department. The VP of IT will establish and direct the strategic long term goals, policies, and procedures of the department. This includes managing the coordination of the Fiserv data processing system, network administration, and electronic banking.  This individual must have experience working in the banking industry.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determines organization's long-term system needs and hardware acquisitions to accomplish the organization's business objectives
  • Ensures proper functioning of company's information processing system and makes upgrades as necessary
  • Analyzes the Bank’s technology needs for the Business Plan and budget annually
  • Acts as liaison for Fiserv data processing and have ongoing communications with Fiserv Account Executive
  • Performs administrative functions for in-house content management system
  • Maintains phone system prompts and troubleshoot problems
  • Setup and monitor voice mailboxes
  • Maintains and provides customer support for electronic banking: retail internet banking and bill pay, telephone banking, business internet banking and bill pay as well as other cash management services
  • Website – Maintain and update content.  Track hits and usage by page. Responsible for improving customer penetration and use of site
  • Liaison to all external strategic partners, auditors, examiners and regulators
  • Coordinate ATM upgrades and enhancements
  • Keep current on emergent technologies
  • Desktop and network support for computers and servers
  • Maintenance of all computer related equipment (switches, UPS’s, printers)
  • Logs, documents, addresses, resolve daily user problems
  • Acts as the project manager for new technology initiatives
  • Installs software updates for all departmental software
  • Performs annual disaster recovery tests

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or IT related discipline
  • Minimum of five years experience required
  • IT Banking experience is a must
  • Strong management and human resources skills
  • Background in financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal)
  • Experience with Fiserv data processing preferred
  • Employee development and customer service experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software configuration problems
  • Experience in a PC based local area and wide area network

Branch Manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Expected to spend most of their time with prospects or existing customers.
  • Establishes and helps to attain internal performance objectives for retail office business volume, deposits and loan portfolios.
  • Works to achieve sales and productivity goals assigned.
  • Coordinates and assists with closing of certain lending products.
  • Apply a thorough knowledge of the bank's products and services to actively sell the bank's products and services.
  • Represents the financial institution in the community by attending civic functions.
  • Responsible for monitoring office performance against the goals set in the business plans.
  • Responsible to management regarding budget variances concerning their area.  Works with management and the other departments to resolve variances.
  • Responsible for overall performance of all store personnel.
  • Lead retail personnel in the successful execution of the defined retail strategy. Establish minimum performance standards for retail personnel that support the achievement of the retail goals and objectives.
  • Coach and counsel staff on effective sales techniques to develop new customer relationships and enhance existing customer relationships.
  • Responsible for the overall quality of service rendered to customers.
  • Responsible for bank building and fixed assets.  Ensures that the store and its equipment is properly maintained by bank vendors.
  • Answers to senior management regarding all store issues.
  • Acts as External Business Development Officers which includes traveling to meet with existing and prospective customers, consistently seeking to expand customer relationships and provide the highest level quality customer service.
  • Able to function in all retail positions as needed.
  • When necessary, must be able to work extended hours beyond the normal work day.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree and/or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good management and human resources skills.

Staff Accountant / IRA Administrator

Huntingdon Valley Bank is a seeking a full-time experienced Staff Accountant/ IRA (Individual Retirement Account) Administrator for our Finance/Accounting department. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

General Summary:  Maintain IRA plan files, and verify input of all transactions affecting IRA plans. Assist customers and retail staff with IRA questions. Responsible for the timely and accurate reconciliation of the Bank’s balance sheet accounts, including correspondent bank accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Verify IRA transactions for accuracy, including new plans, distributions, contributions, upgrades, transfers, etc.
  • Review daily reports from Fiserv system related to IRAs.
  • Maintain IRA files for the Bank..
  • Administer IRA distributions.
  • Maintain database for IRA customers in distribution.
  • Facilitate IRA transfers to and from the Bank.
  • Mail regulatory disclosures related to IRAs as needed.
  • Respond to customer and branch personnel questions relating to IRAs.
  • Notify branch personnel of changes/updates in regulations concerning IRAs.
  • Settle Working Fund GL to Branch Recap Reports on a daily basis.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reconciliations for all General Ledger accounts and correspondent bank accounts, insuring accurate processing and posting of all account entries; reconcile daily wire activity.
  • Document all transaction and General Ledger adjustments.
  • Interact with Bank personnel to ensure compliance with established accounting procedures and controls.
  • Daily CD notices.
  • Processing and charging for statement and check copy requests

Requirements

  •  Bachelors or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
  •  2 years of Accounting/Finance experience
  •  Banking experience, preferred
  •  Must have IRA experience
  •  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  •  Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  •  Ability to work independently and participate as a team player in a cross-functional environment
